For more than 33 years, SPARS has meant access … access to knowledge – like the SPARS Sessions @ the HOT Zone; access to the latest trends – discovering what others are doing to meet the challenges of today’s music business; access to other professionals – the ability to connect to other SPARS members to share ideas and get answers for your business and career.
SPARS has re-tooled itself to serve, not only our legacy members, but to reach out to smaller facilities as well as independent engineers and producers. Our activities are now centered around a lower cost dues structure, on-line presence and social media involvement. You can learn more about membership here.
We are involved in education at every level to assist our members in understanding the trends, testing new ideas, networking with others and getting found on the Internet. The SPARS community includes audio recording and mastering facilities, manufacturers, engineers, producers and multimedia specialists — everyone from single-operator project studios to large multi-room facilities. If your business involves music recording, mastering, video, film, industrial or corporate media, advertising, computers, interactive games, forensic audio, studio design, manufacturing, internet audio, education or any allied industry, your colleagues are members of SPARS.
The best way to take advantage of SPARS is to be an active participant in the organization and help shape the agenda. The question is not, “What can SPARS do for me?” but rather “What can we do together?”
